Nightforce, Trijicon, and SWFA scopes had the best reliability in the Rifle Scope Field Evaluations pages posted on Rokslide. I recommend you read the evaluation process and reviews at Rokslide to aid in your decision. Good luck!

    BACKPACK GLASSING LOADOUT

The Swaro NL Pures 12X on an outdoorsman setup are hard to beat. For single ocular spotters, the Swaros and Kowas with the fluorite lens are phenomenal. For a great value tripod, take a look at the Sirui combo with the VA-5 head.

JR does great work. He's in the process of building me another muzzleloader. My brother and I both have muzzleloaders from JR and they shoot.

What to do in Fairbanks AK?

I second the Turtle Club, the prime rib and king crab were awesome. We stayed at the Pike's Waterfront Lodge and had a great stay. Fairbanks also has some good breweries. We went to Latitude 65 and thought their beer was tasty. Enjoy!
