I used an 8 twist on my 20" 308. Shoots 175-185 like a lazer. Shoots 185 bergers at 2730fps on top of a particular powder out of that 20". I don't think I'll ever build another one with a slower twist...

To each their own, and I hope it works out for you, but all I see is $100 rings that were precision machined on a million dollar cnc being "fixed" with a dremel and JB Weld before checking for a problem...

1680 and 220gr for my 9" AR. Milk jug accurate out to 200 yards and stupid quiet. Right around 1040 fps.

No manufacturer would've made my 20", 8 twist, 308 win; then full length bedded it with DBM, but I did, and I love it!

If you believe for a second that he would run a reamer into a blank without inspecting the reamer specs; I have some ocean front-property in southern Arizona I'll sell you really cheap!
