Help with Nightforce SHV scope covers

Check these out. I bought mine here for my SHV 5-20x56. The NXS versions fit the SHV just the same. http://www.allnightforce.com/nightforce-butler-creek-scope-caps-s/357.htm

    Nightforce SHV 5-20X56

Use mine for my F T/R rig and love it. Tracks perfectly and glass is clear. An easy piece of glass to sit behind for 20 minutes at a crack staring down a target 600 yds away. You will like.

    sighting in problems DPMS

Are you still trying to set it at 25 yds? The height of the scope above the bore that close could easily explain why you've chewed up so much MOA trying to get it set. Put at 50-100 and try again. When you shoot an AR specifically but any rifle really, that close, you haven't gotten far...

    Hawke Optics anyone?

Kind of late to the party here but I have the Varmint SF 4-16x44 and must say it's repeatability is nut on. It started life on my F/TR build before I picked up my NF and has since migrated to a smaller AR. It tracks true. The glass is not comparable to a high end scope but for the price it's...

    Night force shv

I guess it depends on how often you plan to dial up or down? There isn't usually a lot of time to be dialing up and down with a capped turret when a coyote is sniffing around. I can't say for sure on pigs as I've never hunted them but I doubt a lot of dialing takes place. The few I've watched...

    New gun ideas

With so many choices in the AR arena these days it can be overwhelming for sure. If you read enough reviews you'll find someone saying XYZ brand is garbage almost universally unless it's a Noveske or JP or similar "top tier" AR. With that said, I would take a look at Stag Model 3's, M&P 15...

    Night force shv

I have the 5-20x56 on my F T/R rifle and tracking is spot on and repeatable. Its been up to 600yd zero, down to 100yd zero and back to 600 several times without any shift in POI. Glass is same as NXS (so I read many times over and having looked behind other competitors with the NXS series, I...

    New scope help

I use the SHV 5-20 on my F T/R rifle and dial it every time I shoot it. It's been up and down from 100-600 many times and while not as tactile feeling as some other scopes I've played with, it's definitely usable. Tracking is what you expect from NF. The obj is large but for my use it makes no...

RRA Predator Pursuit or Bolt Gun

Swing into Arnzen Arms in Eden Prairie and check out APF Armory AR that they have. I picked up one for the very same reason, light weight walking rifle to replace my other AR that had morphed into a F T/R rifle and far too heavy to carry anymore. I've ditched the optic it comes with in...

    Geissele G2S trigger

I will have my first G2S next week. Geissele has a sale on their website this weekend. $123 to my door for the G2S. :) I have the High Speed National Match in my FC rifle and if the G2S is even 1/2 as good as that I will be a very happy camper. If you didn't pull the trigger on it...

    .223 for Song Dogs

Haha. Lots of people here don't own a $3000 scope or custom built 15lb "hunting" rifle. This area however is certainly for the coyote enthusiast. I have used nothing but the ol .223 for coyotes. Ask away.
