    Long Range in New Jersey???

Thanks Zep! The family is a big reason I am making the move. I've been commuting for work the last 22 months and have only been able to see my wife and 2 year old son 4 days a month. Taking this position in Jersey means I see them every day. Which is huge considering my wife is due with our 2nd...

    Long Range in New Jersey???

Zep and Dskiper, I appreciate the heads up on Jersey life. It was a hard decision to make to move there, and I know what I'm leaving behind (in NV). But my hand was pretty much forced and there's no turning back now.

Looks like an exceptional Range, just wish it was closer. Thanks Frank. Thanks Truc. That's even farther than Mifflin though. Appreciate the help guys!

    Long Range in New Jersey???

Hahaha, maybe not but I'll take whatever I can get. It's not looking promising though. Closest 1k range is 3 1/2 hours in PA so far.

    Long Range in New Jersey???

Hey guys, Moving to New Jersey soon for work, and wanted to know if there are any long range minded shooting ranges, clubs or groups, etc. there or in the area (office is in East Hanover). I know that I won't be able to hunt with my longrange rig in Jersey, but I want to still be able to...

My Daughter and the dueling tree

Quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen. Love how she didn't flinch a tick when she was dry. Great stuff.

    New Mexico Antelope

Capt. It's odd that you say you have bad experience with the Swaro RFB in cloudy weather. This is when it should do best. Sunny conditions are when range finders generally have biggest problems. Congrats on a fine antelope. Yep, Trebark is spot on. The Leicas have one of the smallest beams...

    Scope rings/base opinions

Brad, I've generally had good experience with the Talley's as well. However, a friend of mine has a similar rifle (Ti action, carbon barrel) in the same caliber (300 RUM) and his Leupold screws sheared in half from recoil. He knew another guy that did the same. So I'm looking for something...

My 10 year old breaks the 1K mark

Well done! He's ahead of 95% of the shooters out there, at only 10 years of age. Not too surprising I guess . I'd be a proud poppa as well. Awesome shooting Jr!!!

    Scope rings/base opinions

Thanks for the recommendation guys - those look like quality bases. I'll have to do some more research on them. Thanks WildRose, I'll look into those as well. Scope isn't too big, it's a 56mm Leupy VXL. But was getting some abnormal wear and was getting loose.

    Scope rings/base opinions

Recently found that I'm having issues with my current scope ring/base setup and would like to upgrade. Rifle is a very light weight 300 RUM, hence the issues with the current rings (Talley). Looking at the Nightforce Ultralight rings (still would like to keep weight down), but should I go one...
