I'm new and trying to better understand my options for modifying my Tikka T3 270 WSM

Think I found my load for my 300 WSM 168 Barnes TTSX & 65.0 grains of h4350 3017 FPS 0.7 MOA ES 11 FPS SD 4.4ftps A nice node. This is after I switched from Lee FL die to a combo of Redding body die and Lee collet die. Next is some COAL adjustment to see if I can get it even tighter, but...

I'm new and trying to better understand my options for modifying my Tikka T3 270 WSM

True and a good idea. But I've already put a 300 WSM barrel and a break in it. I'm running 168 TTSX Barnes in both this rifle and my woods gun a Ruger compact laminate 16.5 in bbl. It will kill everything I need to very well.

At some point I'll be putting a bunch of 270 WSM ammo up on gun broker.

I'm new and trying to better understand my options for modifying my Tikka T3 270 WSM

Update I got a great deal on a Tikka factory barrel. I had my smith spin it in on and thread it for a break. I've been working up a load using Barnes 168 TTSX. So I'm using the same bullet in both my woods gun 308 and my 300 WSM. I also found a range that I can shoot to 600 yards so more than...

    300 WSM loose Bullets

I've switched to a Redding body die and a Lee collet die combo. I'm still getting used to it but so far the combo has been easy to get consistent brass.

    300 WSM loose Bullets

Spun the expander ball in a drill chuck with 500 grit and then finished with 1500. It's nice and shiny has a OD of .3055. it started at .307 so a 1/2 a thousand more than I intended. I installed it back into the die and it definitely increased neck tension. I could feel more feedback when sizing...

    300 WSM loose Bullets

Thanks for everyones advice here is what I have. Neck OD before sizing .345" Neck OD after .339 I checked a sized case to see if a bullet will slide in the case and it doesn't. I also tried seating a bullet partially and see if was loose, it wasn't. I seated the bullet and same thing happened...

    Help on Tikka build

Okay I took the rifle to the range for the first time, here are the results. Factory Hornady ELD-M 140 gr shot at 2660 ft/s instead of the box stated 2710 ft/s through my stock 23.7" stock tikka barrel. I also shot some handloads to get the basics on speed and accuracy and I'm already shoot sub...

    Help on Tikka build

Okay here it is. It took about an hour to put together. I may need to adjust the LOP a bit but I figured I would first get it on paper and then go from there. It is very similar to my Tikka T3 in fit and finish but with the obvious elements of the CTR. Thanks to everyone in the community that...
