I agree, the OTC tags are out of control. But that's how the CPW gets a lot of it's funds. It doesn't matter around here if you hunt off the road or ride a horse in 15 miles, there are way too many hunters. The elk reproduction numbers prove it.

I know there are no easy answers to this problem, but personally, I'd be fine with no season at all for 2-3 years. It's either give up something for a while, or give it up for a lot longer. I've tried to talk to CPW at their meetings they have around the state, it's really a hard thing to do...
