I have one that I set at .090 off the lands and one that likes it .015 off but both will shoot 1.5" groups at 100yds with retumbo seated about anywhere in between 76 grains and 79.5 grains........ might be something else

I have always used a hatchet unless packing weight is concerned and then I use just a pocket knife. I have never really found the need for a bone saw unless I was able to get them out whole.

I have a 28 nosler with a 1:9 twist shooting the 195 berger at about 3070 FPS and so far it appears that there may be a small loss of BC associated with the slower twist but not much, I am sure my elevation(4300') helps with that. I will know more once my replacement magnetospeed shows up so...

I never tried the 195's in the RUM the freebore is about half of the SAMMI spec so I stuck with the 180's at 3150 FPS and it only took 79.5gr of Retumbo to get there.

By any chance did you have a look with a bore scope? I have run into similar issues on a 28 nosler and on a 7 RUM both when using Retumbo, dramatic increase in pressures and high ES after roughly 100-150 rounds. I did not bore scope but did do a deep clean with a carbon remover and copper...
