Anyone switch to a larger caliber for coyotes?

Nope, you just need to find the right projectile. As of right now my favorite projectiles are in this order: 1) 52gr SMK, 2) 60gr V-max. For loaded ammo, last year I tried the 53gr Hornady Superformance with very good results. Next year I will be trying the 52gr A-Max that I have screwed...

    Rattle snakes while hunting coyotes

Antibiotics alone would probably be sufficient for a horse. CroFab is the most commonly used anti-venon used in the U.S. to treat snake bites. Cro-Fab is derived from horses, they just have a heartier resistance to snake bites than most domestic animals and humans do. Chupa

finally found a fur friendly bullet

Geez louis this forum moves slow. I have tried the 55gr TSX's on coyotes and hogs both out of my .223's and they perform nicely.....even more so on the hogs. Chupa

    Beginning Predator Hunting Question

To the bunny huggers, game hunters and fur hunters are equally hated, so it doesn't matter what you do......they'll hate you anyways. I only hunt coyotes and hogs, and only keep the nicest most furred out pelts as personal souveniers and let the rest lay. Buzzards gotta eat to. Chupa

    Is my gun big enough?

Probably thinks a .17 is a .17 is a .17, and thinks you mean an HMR. I have never shot or seen a wolf for that matter, but my knee jerk reaction is no. My luck, I would shoot him then become lunch and be found as wolf poo. Chupa

    Very little calling this year

I have always heard that you can call hogs, but have never had any real success or can say that the hogs I have killed while calling, were actually coming to the call or whatever. Glenn says it can be done, but he ofcourse is on a different level than I. This one was actually taken on the way...

    Very little calling this year

Because I have had "something" in a cast or recovering from knee surgeries for the last 2 years, consequently I haven't been out calling in a while. I did manage to get out and call a little towards the end of this calling season and managed a little success, here are some pics. Hope you enjoy...

    Texas Ranges

Sorry bro, the only two I'm aware of in Texas are in Mingus and Waco. The one in Waco is only open to the public on certain days and don't remember the schedule. Both go out to 1,000yds and hold comp's. It would be one heck of a drive for ya, but try Tac-Pro in Mingus. Chupa

What's your caliber of choice, for coyotes?

    10FP out of the box in .223 (52gr MHP Ultramax) 12ga 3" #4Bk or T's Never felt undergunned Used a PSS in .308 for a few months pushing 110gr V-max's at 3100fps that made great "B" roll for a horror movie/slasher flick. Buddy uses a Tikka T3 in .270 pushing 130gr SST's, but he's got a...

    Rattle snakes while hunting coyotes

I have spent the majority of my life studying and even supplementing my income with snakes. I often say that "I know very little about quite a lot, and quite a lot about very little" but this would be an exception to that rule. I can't remember the last time that I "Had" to kill a snake but my...
