I don't own one but the one I played with looked good for the price. The adjustments were good and the turret resets to zero in the same fashion as the vortex vipers. The reticle looks nice and from what I could tell in the store the glass looks good. I am currently waiting for more reviews...
I have read that Winchester already had the case and they just necked it down. It was part of their fastener line. I imagine that saved in the cost of development.
I have not used the Zeiss so I can't comment on it but I do run a ZA-5 2-10x40. The glass is excellent and the scope is nice and light. The turrets however do not give me much confidence when dialing in corrections for longer distances. They are very mushy and have about a 1/4 moa lash when...
I have one on a 22 lr and my buddy has one on a 223. I think they are a great purchase at that sale price. The glass good but gets a little dark at 20X but it is not bad at all. The eye relief is a bit short ~3.3" but that is not a problem on a 223. Overall my buddy and me are both very...
I have a viper 6.5-20x44 pa and 2.5-10x44 pst. A budy of mine has a nitrex tr2 3-15X42 which is the same as the weaver ss. The glass in the SS is better than the viper pa at the same magnification. The glass in the pst is slighly better (IMHO) than the nitrex but only slightly. My biggest...
I have a 2-10. The glass is excelent but the turrets are terrible. When changing directions on the turrets the 1st click is not there. The scopes tracks well and holds zero but the turrets leave a lot to be desired. Overall, I like the scope but I do not dial with it often. It is on my...
The Viper HS 2.5-10 might fit your needs well and can be had with the BDC ret. for about 400. You could also look for a used mil/mil or moa/moa pst 2.5-10.
On my scope the turret is mushy for the 1st 1/4 moa when I change from dialing elevation up to down or down to up. It is almost like the click is not there, but the elevation adjusts correctly it just doesn't feel as though it does. I have made this comment to other Minox owners and they seem...
I have a 2-10X40 and the glass is excellent. The scope holds zero, tracks well, and is light weight. The only issue I have with the scope is the turrets. They have a small amount of lash in them when I change directions. My buddy also has the same scope and he has lash in his turrets as...
