Three calibers , 6.5-06 / .338-375 RUGER / 45-70

So I gotta be the odd guy out . The 45/70 case will reload for a long time unless your chamber is sized for a thermos bottle . Nothing walks away from big bullets in the right spot .

Okay so I like to be different , 375 Ruger necked down to .338 , I hand load anyway so ammo is not a problem . The bolt face is the same as any Win mag , the shell is standard 30.06 length and it performs like a 340 Wby . When chambered in magnum length actions the bullets can be left way...

Great bear and even better story ! I still believe in bigger is better like having a 375 RUGER or 45/70 . A camp stove doing 2500 fps kills most everything in it's path .

Thank you for the input . Mine has a 34" barrel it's just for 600 yard shots on game . Do you have load data with 250 , 285 and 300 grain bullets ?

How do you like the .338 x 375 RUGER ? I built mine but have not shot it yet .

personally I would choose 338x300 prc . read up on the 33 Newton Buffalo Arms New York . This is an efficient cartridge that has been overlooked and is on the same level as the 340 Weatherby . I'm building my 338x375 Ruger for this very reason

A buddy of mine has an edge ,but a friend of his has a standard 338 RUM tight chamber rig and hes out stepping the edge with less powder .

350 Legend , short bolt throw , 223 case , no loud crack like the fast shooters , Kills everything :)

Buddy you found yourself one of them there Arnold Goats ! They are a genetic highbred that bullets cant kill ! Your only option is a 40mm grenade launcher :cool:
