I am in Temecula for 2 weeks with work, wondering if I could convince someone within a few hours of Temecula to let me come out for a coyote hunt, to watch, or run a camera or just carry gear on a weekend.

I don't think anyone offers a DBM for the Ruger American yet. However I did email CDI precision a while ago, apparently they have had some interest in it and they are/ were making a list of which action length and how many people are interested in them.

I don't doubt the possible danger of the parasites and cysts. But are there any studies or cases that have the numbers of humans that actually contract the cysts? Or the actual number of livestock that are infected?
