My BACO-USA Winchester model 70 Extreme Weather 30-06 with 3x Leupold.

I have used the .308" 200 grain Speer hot-cor flat base spitzer over 54 grains IMR 4350. No chrono, but guessing about 2525+ fps from a 22" barreled 30-06. It shoots flatter than you would think. Zero at 200 yards, it is about 2.5" high at 100 yards and down almost 9" at 300 yards...

Remember, just because the desired action is SIMPLE, does not mean it is EASY.

My Winchester model 70 Extreme Weather, 30-06, 200 grain Partition ( or Speer or Accubond), 3x Leupold with duplex reticle. If you want a heavier cartridge, then it gets rebarreled to a 35 Whelen (1-12" twist, 22" stainless, muzzle diameter about 0.70") with 250 grain Partition or Speer ...
