    vanguard rifles

I owned one of their sub-MOA models (300wsm). Unfortunately, it did not shoot lights out but it shot pretty well ... most ammo that I tried was 1-1.25 MOA at 100 yds, a few options could do 0.75 and others 1.5. I am not sensitive to recoil but that rifle - specifically the classic weatherby...

    Silencerco Harvester Evo ?

Evo fans - other than the great price, what do you love about yours in contrast to others you may have experience with?

I need some guidance on setting a die up..

By chance do you have any factory ammo cases that were fired in your rifle, maybe even with the same head stamp as the brass that you bought that had been fired in someone else's rifle? If so, I would recommend that you measure both and see how they differ.

Looking for a factory 280AI rifle.

Noticed that you had a Kimber on the list of possibles. I like my Kimber Montana 280AI. Running a VX5HD 3-15x44. Sacrilegious to some, but the only thing I would change would be the CRF ... I'm a strong push feed (or CRPF) preference, especially for a blind magazine. Well, I would have also...

TARGET BULLETS ARE NOT HUNTING BULLETS!

Unless you're using a Nathan Foster frangible bullet that is very effective at 1000 yards but is apt to explode prior to penetration at 50 yards.

    New build, 7mm rem mag?

John, I have been considering similar projects. Perhaps the difference for mine might be that I would like to be able to shoot e.g., 140-180 grain bonded or cup-n-core projectiles as well as 1.35"~1.5" monos. Still considering if 1:8" is faster than I need and hence might go with 1:8.7 or...

Thrash a nice wood stock hunting?

Since we shoot a lot of sporting clays, skeet and trap here, I'm planning to start using Renaissance Wax. I have no idea how well it might work for the handful of rifles that I have with wood stocks but someone suggested Cooper sometimes ships it with their new rifles. I read about it here ...

    Which is more frustrating…?

I find this to be a fair review. Sounds like you disagree with his initial summary that they are worth what he paid. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/testing-two-spina-optics-scopes.923653/

    Aoudad hunts

I imagine the guides needed an inflationary raise and feed bills are pretty big. I actually had an opportunity to shoot a cow elk ... my 125# of red meat ony cost me about $10/#. I got the opportunity because the landowner needed to cull to get their feed bill under control. But it was a private...

    Garmin Xero - update

Shoot, I was hoping my feed was indicating that there was some more practical information about xero experiences to read about. I think that the simplest answer to the stat question here is by way of example - say you have made 50 trips to the range with a given rifle/load and shot that setup...
