Just ranged a spruce tree in the rain plus fog at 2251.1 did this three seperate times. no sun, and dark will be in near 15 minutes.

Ageed! That's a bummer. Must be a dud. mine ranges trees without leaves through my bay window at 1600 plus or minus yards. hope you get it fixed.

Yep, it's an amazing rangefinder. I really like it. For $400 it cannot be beat at this date. Time will tell for durability. Feels rugid. 5 star.

I shoot the same rife. Love it, too. I put game reeper dnz one piece medium mount. And a ziess hd5. It does kicker harder than most 300 win mags. So I agree on putting the limbsaver pad. I Also put a Witt machine clamp on muzzle break. Still a light gun and shoots like a 243. I don't notice...
