Just looked at my tool, it’s stamped Russ Haydon. Measured the pockets on some new Peterson brass as best I could with calipers and they averaged .2065. My tool measures .2085.

Which tool do you use for the Peterson brass? I’ve had mine for 20 some odd years so I don’t remember the brand but it’s anodized blue so I think it’s either k&m or a Russ Hayden’s. Anyway the pockets on my Peterson 6xc brass are way too tight for it and I’d like to find a tool to mill the...

I don’t dispute your results but do you think your improvement could be attributed to case volume consistency after fireforming? That said I DO deburr and uniform, at least until I started using Peterson brass. The pockets on these are too tight for my tool.

I have #3 and I’m completely happy with it. It is accurate and repeatable. It cuts the case mouth exactly perpendicular to the body which a lot of trimmers won’t do.

Shoot at least 4 5 shot groups at distance with the chronograph to validate.
