    257 semi custom Weatherby

I’ve had the best luck with 100 gr match kings and 90 absolute hammers. The match kings were amazing one shot drops. They never exited a pig or deer and would destroy a shoulder.

    Shot Placement/POI question

I've always preferred to take out a shoulder not matter what bullet. They either drop or they can't run far and it's harder for them to jump a fence.

What cartridges do you load with 8208xbr

I'm using it in a 243 with a 69 gr absolute hammer. 39.5 grains (above max) for 3200 in a 16" barrel. Not an ideal powder but I had it on hand.

Caprock outfitters. Look them up on fb. They do long range. I haven't hunted with them but I have shot with them.

    Introducing the Absolute Hammer

I got bored today and tried a little test on the 90 absolute. I lined up two five gallon foam buckets ( thick plastic). Shot was from 30 yards. I have to say I'm impressed. Nosler bt and sierra mk have never made it to the second bucket. The absolute dented the back of the second bucket and...

    Introducing the Absolute Hammer

Almost forgot. If everything goes right, I should get a chance to test them on some pigs Friday.

    Introducing the Absolute Hammer

I played with the 90 gr absolutes today in the 257 wby. Using imr4350 in hornady brass. Oal was 3.28. 26 in. Douglas barrel savage action. 65 gr 3790 65.5 error 66 3865 66.5 3904 slight ejector mark. I'll load some more Saturday for accuracy testing, probably around 66 gr. With weatherby brass...

    Possible issue

    Possible issue

I was attempting to find the lands for a new load. Accuracy went bad with the old one and of course you can't get the 208 amax (300 win mag, lost count on rounds) anymore. Long story short it appears that my barrel maybe toast. Am I looking at this correct. No land marks, just a solid circle.
