If you’re open to looking secondhand, Swarovski (unlike Leica/Zeiss) has a fully transferable warranty. Should the glass you buy have issues, their service department will sort you out without it being a pain.

I’ve only ever purchased pre-dried foods. For what it’s worth, I have read that it isn’t terribly difficult to set up a freeze drying operation with dry ice which provides better results than alternatives.

I’ve always preferred non-waterproof boots when I could get away with them. Much more comfortable over long miles.
