It still has lots of good information. Bob R

    Thompson Contender 30-30

If I remember correctly my brothers MGM 15.875 Inch, 30-30AI Barrel has a 2-7 Burris Scope on it. It also has a Tony's 10" Forend, and a Harrell's 4 Gill Muzzle Brake. His 30-30AI is on a G2 Frame and has made the trip to Stratton for a Trigger Job. Very Nice, and accurate handgun. Bob R

Full Power +P 10mm Auto recipes

Loading manuals are very helpful. When the 40 S&W first came out we were getting load data from magazine articles. Lots of Bulged Cases until loading manuals were up dated. I own and use a Bulge Buster because I still have brass from that period. I do not recall ever bulging any 10mm brass...

alancthomas Handgun Used Smith & Wesson 610 N Frame Revolver bought around 1992. It had the full Power Custom Combat work done to it, with the barrel shortened my Ron Power from 5 Inch to 4 Inch. I was doing my testing shooting into a Fackler Water Box. I am not sure what loads I was shooting at...

Full Power +P 10mm Auto recipes

Is your new toy an older 10 series S&W, or a newer production Polymer Frame one? If memory serves me, the 10 series S&W's and the Colt Deltas were one reason the 10mm ammo was watered down to keep from beating them to death. I never pushed the envelope like is being done today with the 10mm as a...

New Build First Impressions: 17 Remington Fireball

Enjoy your new build. Looks like you may get some extra enjoyment doing load development. I get a lot of extra mileage on a build doing load development myself. I do not see AA2200 mentioned much. I have a stash that I have been starting to use again. Better that I shoot it up, instead of...

    xp 100 trigger

I have a Dell Taylor Trigger in my 22LR XP100. I believe I may still have my old Remington Trigger. Probably minus the hanger. Bob R

    Late season elk

That was a very good hunting story. Great job as usual. That cow elk should make some very good eating. We are getting closer to the Missouri Antlerles Only Season. My brother and I are planning on putting a couple Whitetail Deer in the freezer. No hunting for the wife this season, she is...

Tips for a new handgun hunter you wish someone would have shared with you.

Critter Picker I had the 22LR XP100 built. It was not cheap either. The XP100 Rimfire Action is a Remington Custom Shop 40X Single Shot Rimfire Action, Marked XP100. Pacific Tool and Gage bought the Remington Custom Shop, I custom ordered the action correctly marked XP100 from them. This is the...

Which Handgun will you use this gun season?

41 Magnum nice job with the muzzleloader. I have a 50 Cal CVA, and it is very impressive. I have a 30mm MatchDot on mine at the moment. It drives tacks, and hits hard. With Blackhorn Powder being outrageous in price, I have not been shooting it lately. It is much more fun to shoot with clean...

    Slow but successful deer season

Looks like some good Jerky making material. We need to keep kids hunting and gun friendly. Keep up the good work. Bob R

30 Nosler XP-100 meets up with 9 pointer.

Very nice story. How did your son do? The 30 Nosler should be a Beast. The Cartridge should be as good as it gets for a heavy hitter in .308 Caliber. Like you I went through the Encore Stage with a 223, a 260, a 7.62x54R, and a 356 Winchester. I moved all of them and ended up with a pair of...

    Xp100 rebuild

Yes I did, and the 6.5 Creedmoor M48 still shoots very well. The Harrell's Muzzle Brake sure makes it a pleasure to shoot. I worked with the 120 Sierra Pro Hunter Bullets, the 120 Nosler Ballistic Tip, Hornady 120 ELD-M, Hornady 129 Core Loc, as well as the Sierra 130 Game Changer. All bullets...

    CVA Scout Pistol

In available chamberings I believe I have seen 243 Winchester, 6.5 Grendel, 350 Legend, and 300BO. I just looked at a NEW 350 Legend that my local gun shop just sold. It looked to me like the grip had been improved over the years. The sharp edges had been cleaned up. It had a brake, but no idea...

    Bently Wants Jerky

He is off to a great start. We need to keep kids hunting or one of these days we will have no hunters. I bet he will enjoy the jerky for months to come. We are looking forward to Brat Patties this year. Bob R
