Some of the previous responses have touched on this, but in addition to the reduced sound signature, the cans can be used on several guns. For example, I use my .338 can on several .308 rifles. I use my .45 can on several hand guns and a rifle.

I had a similar issue with some 284 Winchester cases I necked down. Found out the neck tolerance was too tight. I turned the necks down and problem disappeared.

I recently acquired a Cordova and took it on a 3,400 mile, three week camping trip. Made in the USA. Outstanding cooler in my opinion.
