With factory and 26" barrel I'm getting 2894 avarage. Take off about 50 fps for 24" Of course some barrels are faster than others.

I have the hmr in 6.5 creedmoor. I love it. Very accurate with every load I have tried. It is a little heavy for me to chase elk with it. If I was to hunt elk with it I would limit my shots to 200 yards. However, I wouldn't hunt elk with it. I'd use my 300.
