I'm currently having a custom 300 ultra rifle made. My gunsmith has Swarvoski TDS scopes on his rifles. I plan on using a Swarvoski TDS myself as I am using the rifle mainly for hunting. If the a rifle is used for target or small game, then a target knob may be better. My next next question...

You can buy an inexpensive rifle just for the action. Sometimes you can get lucky at one of the gun web sites. I got my rem 700 ss action at GunsAmerica at a reasonable price. Good luck.

Thanks. I understand that a lot of posters like the Accubond. In addition to being accurate, it's supposed to be a good hunting round with good weight retention.

I live in AZ and know the owner of the Outdoorsman Floyd Green. He has spent a great deal of time and money developing that tripod. For people who have not seen it-check it out. It really is outstanding. The Outdoorsman pistal grip is also fantastic.
