If they exceed the 8x30 Swaro mono they will be something else!!
Mine have ranged a rock on a NZ hillside at twilight at 1847yds;1846yds and 1847 yds.
Thought that was excellent considering the factory claim.
I was unaware that teh others limit the readouts??? Why would you do that??

What is the moa adjustment in elevation for your 12-50 S&B with 1/8 clicks please?

I have a Mark 4 8.5-25 with TMR reticle which is my main scope on my short range rabbit rifle through to 500 yds.
I want higher power with great resolution for work on rabbit size game out to...
Yes, it has been an expensive mistake on the March.
I am going to return it to see if it has "missed" a lens or something not quite right?
I doubt there are many people who have used a 8-80 in the field on small game.
Most are used on targets and frankly for that use I don't see that great...
No - you do lose some optical quality compared to exactly the same binos from the same manufacturer.
I believe Leica themselves admit to this because of the fact they have to fit the receivibg unit within one of the lens barrels.
Just compare the mono Swaro 8x30 RF - they almost look like...
Thanks again for the input Boss Hoss
I need fine reticle on such small targets so 2nd Focal plane is only one to do that at high powers.
Also find the style such as Leupold TMR very useful on game as the fine horizontal 1/2 mil hash marks allow halving these again with guess to give reference...
OK Guys
Thanks for your advice and i will send them in for a check by Leica.
I see yesterday on 6BR that Swaro have announced the release of their bino rangefinder at last!
Boss Hoss
I would really be interested in your comparison of definition / contrast / clarity between the PMII
and the NF and USO in similar powers.
I am talking about resolution of small targets as i shoot rabbits at 1000+.
The March 8-80 I bought earlier this year would not resolve a rabbit...
Thanks Joel
I will be keen to hear your feedback when you have some time trhough the scope at distance.
Boss Hoss - I was after real world experience. What USO do you own and what targets do you engage at what distances? What experience do you have with teh S&B scopes?
Direct comparison last year - the Leica refused to range a crow on the ground at which the Swaro subsequently told me was 286yds.
This was bright middle of day on a gibber [stony] plain with little to reflect and high ambient light.
However i was amazed at their lack of ability - pulled the...
I am after some real world feedback from someone who owns and uses one of these scopes.
Having just wasted huge $ on a March which has proven to have poor contrast and clarity for hunting use I am after genuine real world use - please no regurgitated arm chair reviews!
I got sucked in by the...
They won't range anywhere as far a the unfortunately mono Swaro 8x30 will.
I have both and have only used the Leica for one trip. they sit in th cupboard.
I can see rabbits at 1000 yds in good light with the Swaro. Swaro are working on a bino rangefinder as well but have not got them up to...
Good advice - I will keep it in an inner pocket.
I don't intend shooting a heap through this rifle as i have built it on a single shot Nesika for 800 - 1200 yd use.
