My wife broke her leg last week and she drew a Veadawoo elk tag. I guess it is about 15% draw for residents. Hopefully, we don't have to pack her in too far. lol.

I am really impressed with mine. As I said, I decided to have the scope mounted when I bought it and they did it all wrong. Once that was corrected I am really happy. I think you would like it.

After the scope mounting problems at the store I got my 6.5x284 sighted in. It shoots really well. I am very pleased. It will out shoot me for sure. I was getting clover leaves at 100 yards. Though my Tikka .300 Win Mag will shoot with it and it was cheaper, but still really happy.

I took the gun back to the store today. The lady had mounted the rings in the wrong place with the screws for each ring switched and the adjustable ring needed to be adjusted.

I had one in SD in the past. I let it lapse, but I think the new Wy. law goes into effect July 1 where we won't need a permit. I might be misunderstanding, but I think that is the case.

I just ordered the Savage Long Range Hunter in 6.5x284. I have read some professional reviews, but it is hard to find people with experience with them. I am excited. What experience do you guys have with them and any ideas for loads, etc.? Should be fun for coyotes, prairie dogs, antelope, etc.
