You can use 6.5 Grendel, 7.62x39mm brass to make 6mm ARC brass. 7.62x39mm brass will be out there for as long as 5.56 NATO brass. So, im not that concerned about brass shortages. As I see it, 6mm ARC is more of a replacement for AR10 in 308, but can do double duty and also replace 5.56 NATO.

6mm ARC. Light recoil but enough energy to take a deer @ 400 yard. Just bot a Howa 1500 in 6mm ARC for my son. I think that a caliber with more energy will teach a 9 y/o to flinch.

5.56 NATO or 223 WYLDE ?? They are higher pressure barrels 62k psi vs 52k psi 223. And 223 can be shot from a 5.56 NATO. Both 5.56 NATO and 223 can be shot from a Wydle barrel. The Wylde has the high pressure of the 5.56 and the precision of a 223. Example of a Wylde bolt rifle...

I like the Hunting VDLs , but seems like one could get similar results for half the price with other brand bullets, no? Since I enjoy practicing, so I could shoot at less cost when choosing other bullets.

I don't plan on saving the fur. Im just interested in a good kill. My barrel is a 7.5 to 1 twist. I like the 87s as they have a good BC, but i probably should consider the 75s

Why not use the ELDX bullets?

At some point I would like to get a 6.5 x 47 or 6.5 CM too .... but later.

I am working on an AR 6 ARC with an 18” barrel. The 6 Creedmoor overbore index seems high but the 6 ARC overbore index is around 850 ... i think. I plan on using this rifle for many things including coyote hunting

Does not look to be nitrided. I was planning on doing that after break-in. What is the general forum impression of nitriding
