What is the approximate case weight for 30-06 Lapua Brass?

I checked six cases for capacity at the extreme ends this lot. I used H4831sc verses water because they were primed and ready to load. Cases weight - Powder fill to the top. 181.6 - 69.6 gr 181.7 - 70.2 gr 181.8 - 69.5 gr 186 - 69.5 gr 187.1 - 69.2 gr 187.2 - 68.9 gr Results confirm there...

What is the approximate case weight for 30-06 Lapua Brass?

This thread got me thinking and that generally starts a dive down the rabbit hole... I weighed a lot of Win brass I have loaded and shot 7 times. The loads have been full pressure for a top velocity node in 30-06 AI. The brass has been trimmed after fire forming and again every 3rd firing. 3...

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

I've considered that, but with changes I made the app is correcting the scope error with a single BC. I'm inclined to leave it alone since I'm dialing dead on hits at 390, 750, 950, and 1134.

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

A single trued bc, because I used the Labradar for velocity.

Not exactly, but the math should be the same. Strelock doesn't look the same and rounds up the ten thousand digit. I'll attach the screen shot where I made the correction.

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

Update This afternoon I made it out to shoot. I was very pleased with the results. After inputting all environmentals, and using a .103 elevation correction, and using trued BC the target didn't lie. Dialed center line hits at 390, 750, 950, and 1134. I did email Leupold customer service...

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

Yes I did a tall target test with this scope. At 100 yards 10 mils should be 36" of elevation. My scope gives 37.19" when I dial 10 mils up. At least a 3% error. It returns and dials constantly. Just consistently with an error. I don't have a hundred yard tape. Only two laser range...

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

I watched the video. Unfortunately I don't have ability to measure my 100 yard tall target with that kind precision. I will have to rely on the field results at multiple ranges to verify. Error stacking is a concern. I inputed the .103 mils in the Strelock verticle value. After adjusting...

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

Great. I did not know that was an adjustable option. It let me input 1.03. I will test that soon as I get a chance. Southpaw Tikka Thank You

Where us the correction factor, that is not BC or MV? I didn't see it.

    Correcting scope dialing inaccuracy

Does anyone know if Strelock or another app will allow for the ballistic app to correct scope dialing errors due to poor scope calibration aside from bc or mv? I have a Leupold vx 5 HD. It has an approximate 3 % dialing error. I have verified this with a tall target test at 100 yards and at...

How is StaBall 6.5 working out?

Easy on the Staball cool aid. Experience is not the problem. It is load density in my application. Fortunately there are lots of powders for lots if applications.

How is StaBall 6.5 working out?

Staball 6.5 in 30-06 AI I have used it with 200 gr Bergers. I had easy sub moa groups at a 100 yards. I noticed vehicle stringing at a 1000 that puzzled me. When I finally got a Labradar I realized that I had big extreme spreads and large sds. I think it is a low load density issue. I hit...
