Oh yeah , it's a whatever works best for ya deal. With loads around 50 grains that's 140 loads to a pound. Only about 40 cents a shot at $57 bucks to the pound. Like that Reloader #7, cause just works well with most any bullet weight or power level from Trapdoors, 1895 Marlins, to Ruger #1's.

Woundn't encourage others to try Pistol powders in a 45-70 cartridge, just a bad idea.

Have never seen one of those Safari Express 458 Lott with a stainless barrel, not sure if 4140 steel had a bit more safety factor, in that bore diameter.

Winchester did make their Model 70 in 458 Lott, Custom Safari Express from 1999 til 2006. They were a bit over $3,000 bucks when the Cabela was selling standard Model 70's Super Express in 458 Win Mag for around $900 bucks, so probably cheaper to go that route and just have it chambered for 458...

From 1978 til 1986 Browning did make an O/U Superposed 30-06 that came with an extra set of 20gauge barrels about 24inch, and a takedown case for both sets of barrels. They called it the Continental Set.

30 grains of either of those powders in a 460 S&W will get a Guy near 55,000 psi, not a likely powder to use in a 45-70 case.

Sounds like, if all that's true, Ya might of past up a sizable damage settlement from the ammo company or rifle builder. Does make Ya wonder why ,10/22 Magnum Rugers are still sought after at twice the original selling price.

There's like a cult following of those Samuari rigs in a few places around the country. Guys change out the Suzuki axles to Toyota axles, transmissions, doors come off, almost like a poor mans version of a murderD out CJ-5.

Ruger made the 10/22 Magnun from 1999 til 2006 original price $540. Now when they are found in good condition nearly $900, so they were pretty cool. Usually, if a rig doubles in price in a short time, they simply didn't make enuff to go around. not because they have fatal flaws.

Have Ruger start making the 338 MXLR, where Marlin stopped, with a few more bullet choices this time around.
