    Vita V 165 and the 105 A-Max

Anyone else using this slow burner in their 6mm Remington. I have gotten excellent accuracy and velocity (3100 ft/secs - 28" HART) and better than 1/2 MOA with this powder.

In the analysis of a group, what part

In looking at numerous groups the question comes to mind: What part of the cululative errors does imperfection of the bullet constitute. Meaning, if wind induced errors account for 40%, and loading irregularities another 25%, sighting or operator error some "Y" %; what "X" amount is due to...

    IMR 4007 ssc any thoughts?

I have had excellent results with this new powder in the 243 AI with 80 grain Berger bullets. Velocities are in the mid 3300's and accuracy is all I could hope for. Pressures seem light enough. I think that with any powder you must match it's burning rate and prefered bore diameter to your needs.

    257 ai

Depending upon his twist, the 100 grain bullet should have no problems at all with IMR or H 4350 or the 4831 from either manufacturer. 85/87 grain bullets best velocity: IMR 4064 100 grain : 4350/4831 110 grain Accubond R22 hands down! 115/117 accuracy 4831 or R22... power...

Fast powder vs Slow powder ????

As the caliber diminishes the need for a relatively faster powder for best accuracy increases. Just because a powder will fit into a case that does not make it the best choice. I've been loading the .22/250 since 1966 and (of course lighter bullets) but the powder then was the H380 or IMR...

243AI load for the Sierra 85 BTHP

The picture is of a 38 grains of IMR 4064 load with R-P brass and federal 210M primers set to -.010 from the lands. I would also recomend the IMR 4007 as a very suitable powder for the 243 Ai. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x160/308sako/DSCN0235.jpg

    Pressure signs/chronographing

The law of diminishing returns When you keep adding powder and velocity does not go up at the same rate it has... pressure and not performance is happening. Let's say you get 50 ft/sec's for each half grain, then you add a 1/2 and only get 35 and another 1/2 yields 23 ft/secs... That powders...

    Does this data seem HOT?

Ackley load development Hello Tyler, When I first started shooting AI cartridges I would use the average book maximum load for the parent cartridge as a place to start. If the standard chambering of the 6mm is good to go at your suggested charge, then try it. The second alternative is...

    243 AI 75gr vmax loads

Try Win 760 While aout the burning rate of IMR 4350 and others in this class the 760 seems to like the 243 Ai case. Accuracy in my Cooper factory 1 in 10 has been excellent with the 75 A-Max. Lapua brass and Federal 210M's of course... work up and enjoy the redmister.

    30-06 load

Powder choices Great choice of bullet, so use a powder between IMR 4350 and Reloader 22, set length for magazine and function, then work up. Some powders will be much better in the barrel than others. In my '06 Ackley IMR 4831 is the most accurate, while R22 is the fastest. IMR 4350 was a...
