    Reloading Safety

Although it has been mentioned "only 1 can of powder at the bench at a time" and "have a system" , I believe these can not be stressed enough. I believe it is also worth mentioning, because you are new, empty everything when finished. Meaning powder dispenser, powder trickler, scale. If you...

Neck Sizing Vs. Full Length Sizing and Neck Tension

Another good article. Especially the 5th paragraph. https://larrywillis.com/headspace.html These couple things could explain why full length resizing doesn't work for you. If this is the reason, maybe the answer for your situation is to neck size. Again, information only.

Neck Sizing Vs. Full Length Sizing and Neck Tension

I have a little experience with the TC breech loading rifles. Friend of mine brought one to me that was not firing because it had excessive head space. Fixed it with this...

    sig sauer kilo 2000 rangefinder

Yeah. Looked at the 2400, but it is going to be priced pretty high. I already have applied ballistics on my Kestrel, so not interested in paying for that. Can't find much of anything on the 2200

    sig sauer kilo 2000 rangefinder

Based on the reviews , it would appear one would most likely not go wrong in a kilo 2000 purchase. I have had my hands on one and am pretty impressed. That being said , I am coming off of a several years old bushnell elite 1600. I had been doing research on a new rangefinder when the kilo 2000...

custom turrets do you need them

Simple answer, no. Had a set made once. Thought that out to 500 yards they would be close enough. Too many variations can make them pretty useless. Got rid of mine, went back to MOA turrets and got a Kestrel with ballistics. Now shooting out past 1000 yards.

.1 mil or .25 moa, which is best for long range precision shooting?

We are obviously talking about two different ends of the shot. I am unaware of any ballistic software that doesn't account for the 1.047 MOA. I read in the post I replied to, " when dialing in corrections. " Not when dialing in shooting solutions, which I took to imply a miss had already...

.1 mil or .25 moa, which is best for long range precision shooting?

Don't necessarily agree, at 1000 yards 1 click or .25 moa is just over 2 1/2 inches. You can't adjust .47 , less than 1/2 inch at 1000 yards on your dial. Also one must not forget that most custom rifles are guaranteed to shoot 1/2 moa or better, even with a 1/4 moa rife your best possible...

    Rifle selection for budget build

And now for some more opinion....... If you buy just an action, you still have to buy the bottom metal. With a full donor rifle you still have that, as well as trigger. Bottom metal can run $200 or better. Purchase rifle with bottom metal you want, if you want a DBM, purchase donor rifle with...

    338 Edge Dies

RCBS does make a 338 edge die set. That's what I have and have been using for, well since I got my edge built.

    Savage 116 vs Remington 700

You say you want to upgrade in the future. If you go 700 long range, you will not need to upgrade stock which in my experience is between a 200-700 dollar investment. The majority of custom actions are a variation of the Rem 700 action. Either action will need trued upon re-barrel, (don't know...
