This rifle may get passed along to guy who's house just burned down to the ground. Total loss! No insurance either. Bad deal for him and his family.

BTW, A Deluxe Remington 700 BDL 7MM fell into my lap today. This doesn't mean I made up my mind. I just couldn't pass it up for the price. Still haven't made a decision.

That's probably good advice. I have several guns in the safe now that seduced me when I shot them. A good friend once to me that "what the eyes don't see, the heart doesn't grieve for". He was right.

That's just it, I don't have one nor have I made a decsion. Heck, my BnL still keeps telling me 300 WBY is the way to go and that the recoil isn't that bad. While still others insist that it's miserable to shoot W/O a break. I really love to shoot them all and compare. Hard to do w/ my busy...

Wow, Thanks for the responses! I spent the day skiing and come back to 3 pages! So, at the end of day the answer is "No the 7mm does not catch up to the 300WM after 500 yds? What about some of the hotter 7mm rounds such as the STW?
