2 questions.
1. What is the most biggest most inexpensive magnum caliber to reload with all new components?

I am wanting to shoot some big boy rounds (No reason. Just for fun) but that doesn't cost me $5+ per round to make. The biggest caliber I own right now is a 6.5 PRC which costs me $2.50 a round to reload with new components.
2. What would be the next caliber up around the same price range of reloading cost?

If cost is your #1 concern, maybe best to stay out of the "big boy" game :D

whats 300 prc looking like?
Maybe a good option because people are buying it. Brass should be around. But really good brass is just more _$$....

The 300 win is more plentiful so cost wise it's probably going to win. Performance wise 300 prc.
But question comes down to how much you gain for the coins dropped.

I shoot 2 300 rums and 338 Lapua and 26 nosler for the big stuff. But for where I hunt the .300 wm would have done it all really. Military has been poking people at long range with it for quita a while

If big and budget were the goals if go .300 win mag. 215 bergers. Brass options are good and affordable. Killing power is there.

In hind sight I could a had a lot of fun with a 300wm and saved thousandssss$$$$

I understand this completely as solid advice.

I currently have 2 win mags in the stable and dont think I will ever be without one...

But the 215 berger has been impossible to find other than the GB prices ,3 bucks a piece is the norm.
This is a hard case for anything budget -PRC, WIN, RUM or Norma.
Maybe something in the 230 weight class?
Have these been on the shelves?

I love the 215s!
I took my personal longest whitetail harvest with these bullets this year at 700.
I see me having to move from this tried and true 30 cal combo to something a little less popular.
