I've found a Wilde range finder locally .

It's history is that it worked great then went to pot. The unit was sent of a fella in Montana, now deceased, who replaced the prizim (sp?) and it worked great for a couple of months. The owner says that the prizim is good and that it just needs reworked/calibrated or whatever.

Questions:

1) Is there anyone/place that works on them?

2) What is it worth in "as is" condition, if there is anyone that could work on it?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Roy, Call Deutsche Optik in San Diego, California (800) 225-9407. They can help you.

I paid a LOT for mine from Deutsche Optic when they first came into the country many years ago... it was expensive, but I got the pick of the litter, so I don't feel bad.

Saw one on e-bay a few weeks ago for $299, and it didn't sell. It looked OK.

Contact them, they are in PA and you might be able to get it.

For ranging over flat lands, like Prairie Dog towns, there is nothing better. They will beat the lasers every time.
