I have a new barrel to break in, I will be using factory ammo for break in. The cheaper the better. Is heavier slow moving bullets better or lighter fast moving bullets? Also what kind of bullets do you guys like to use? Partitions, accubonds, softpoints? Cheap bulk ammo type stuff? Thanks in advanced!

I feel that it's a waste of good barrel life to shoot anything but quality components. Every shot fired should provide data points for predicting future performance. So, why waste it on something that's not particuarly useful?

I'm not saying you should buy the most expensive. But from day 1, you should start the load workup process or start looking for factory ammo that the rifle likes. It may take 200 or more rounds to reach peak performance. But, there's a lot you can learn about its likes and dislikes early on.
