Which action to build off

I have 2 custom rifles built off of Bighorn SR3 actions and you can't go wrong with them. Throw in a TriggerTech trigger and you are ready.

thank you guys for all the good info all of these action seem like good opitions and it wouldnt be smart at all to not have those 195s out there in length

Customs come down to features and preference of those features. Push feed vs CRF? 2 lugs vs 3 lug? Savage small shank tennon, remage, shouldered prefits available, or who cares?

That being said, I have two Origin short actions and for the price and CRF they couldn't be beat for me. I'm continually tempted to pick up a long action Origin even though I have no use for it. If you plan on running a BDL setup, some actions don't have the feed rails in the receiver. Something to think about.

Yeah, forgot OP is looking for long action. Long action mag is like 1 ounce heavier though.

Another vote for Defiance. Montana Rifle Company is another option. They build basically a pre-64 Winchester action.

I thought montana rifle went out of business after the remington debacle.
