hi guys i love my 338 edge ! but its a little heavy . how much weight can i lose by fluting it. thanks

It depends on flute depth and length etc... I lost just under 2 pounds from my latest barrel build with 8 flutes on a 30" barrel.

Less than 1/2 a pound.

Fluting is more for looks than to lighten a rifle barrel.

Once a barrel is installed and chambered I do not recomend fluting it.

Weight is a good thing as far as accuracy.
