This ain't a Coyote!

Caught this on my trail cam in a place I occasionally elk hunt in Idaho. That ain't a coyote!

I've had a trail cameras up in this general area for years and this is the first time I've captured a wolf on one. There have been rumors of wolves in the area for some years now by ranchers. I've never seen or heard one while hunting. But now I have proof. And it ain't good!

Hate to brake it to you but Washington has them in the north and in the south ( blue mountains ) on the east side so they are everywhere in between as well.
Be thankful Idaho is managing them Washington and Oregon are letting the leftist liberals city slickers make policies that are braking the backs of ranchers.
Wish we could live trap those cute furry little puppies and deliver them to king, pierce and thurston Countys here in WA. Those homeless camps are ripe for some good old pack kills.

I wish we could trap the tree hug'n liberals and dispatch them like coyotes

Wolves are good for the eco balance, yes a near apex predator but it balances. America has lived almost without for so long long I see the attitude like it's a ferrule animal. I say at least they ain't as nasty as coyotes
love hunting but personally cheering the recovery to the big cats and wolves. Anyways although typically silent, .308/30-06 and the .338 are my choice based on expected distance.

Ain't as nasty as coyotes ? Do you have wolves in Bama to judge that on ? Problem is they didn't control wolves for so long that it got out of balance . Anti's and their sympathetic judges upheld it in court everytime and wouldn't let the states control them. So the moose , elk and deer got hammered and now they are out of balance. Now they let the wolves spread to other states with no control and the same thing will happen in those states if not checked. As far as mountain lions ? Is California your told model ? Banned lion hunting in 1992. They work on deer herds until they can't hunt and come into the cities . They attack hikers and Mtn. Bikers. They've killed people.
Why ? Because they are hungry and their main food source has been over hunted and scarce. I know , I lived with it many years. I know guys from Ca. on this site can confirm this. I know personally a Game warden in San Diego Co. that has told me how many lions are killed by State trappers just in one small area, 22 in one year. Ones causing trouble and over populated . Paid for by taxpayers. The Fish and Game not making a dime off tag sales. The anti hunters logic is that they don't want us killing animals , they want the wolves and lions to thin them so low that we can't hunt. I don't want get into the grizzley over population that hasn't been hunted since 1975. No fear of people just like the lions in Ca.. Come out west young man and keep shooting those coyotes.

You really have not a single clue of what you are talking about.
I have personally seen my friends dead cows that the wolves kill and leave! Literally eating nothing just killing for what seems fun.
He's lost 40 + head this year.

His family received death threats, folks calling and telling them that there kids were going to die getting off the school bus. All because they want his land for wolves to Rome and hunt freely.
The left is so far out of touch with reality that its unreal. Wolves are of no use to anyone that deals with them. they only intrigue uninformed unknowing armchair quarterbacks that base their opinions or feelings and made up BS with no personal interaction with the animals.

What iritates me is the hypocritical anti hunters that don't care or are too ignorant to know how many wolves , Mtn. Lions annnnnd grizzlies are killed each year that are livestock killers , people killer/atackers , etc.
They don't care. As long as they aren't killed by hunters . Hunters who spend billions on wildlife restoration through the Pittman/Robertson act. Not to mention through clubs and donations . The anti hunting groups don't spend a dime on wildlife. They just bankroll their money by praying on ignorant bleeding heart liberal tree and bunny huggers.
I went to Yellowstone a couple weeks ago. Saw not one elk or moose. Just Grizzlies and buffalo . Ever see all the videos from there now of Grizzlies killing buffalo and wolves killing buffalo calves ? Hmmm.. wonder why.
Wolves have decimated the moose and thinned the elk enough that they don't hang around anymore . The Park will preach PR BS about the wolves have balanced the eco system. Lol ! The wolves sure didn't stay in the Park did they?They knew they wouldn't from the start. They wanted them in all states. They have cut the moose tags here down to nothing because of the wolf killing them. Balance the wolf by hunting them just like we do the deer elk moose and antelope . It's our money . Sure happy that they are letting Wy. ,Id. and Mt. manage their wolves not. 20 years too late .

This definitely isn't a coyote/wolf hybrid. You can't tell from the picture, but this wolf is way larger and taller. Even the head is much larger. I tried to find some coyote vids from this trail cam to show the difference, but I usually delete them because I'm just interested in elk and deer.

The wolf around here in Idaho are huge and usually drive out many of the coyotes when they are in the area. They are very territorial. I have a hard time believing a wolf would let a some love-struck, scrawny coyote mate with it - male or female.

There's a wolf with collar they tracked from the Yellowstone pack that they tracked all the way to Fort Collins, Co. 436 mi..And another farther north to Co.

I live and hunt in Ca, these clowns that run fish and wildlife (HSUS sets policy) are the enemy of the hunting population. I have a 700 acre ranch I hunt that's between SF and Sacramento. We had an amazing deer population, I remember seeing 20+ legal bucks a year In one canyon. Last year we got one buck off the ranch and it wasn't for lack of trying. where I hunt you can't shoot bears and it's a high crime if you kill a lion (now Bobcats are protected as well). The "humaniacs" want to reintroduce Grizzlies and wolves, do it. So long as you drop them off in downtown LA, SF Bay Area and High lefty populated areas. These people are sick, they have coyotes attacking kids, people out walking their dogs are getting attack and killed in Golden Gate Park. Mountain lions are snatching large dogs out of peoples yards. Couple pictures from our ranch.
