Well, my boss informed me today that he has purchased a steyr ssg mod 69 in 308 and was asking me where he could get basses, rings and a suggestion for a scope for it. He is looking to spend no more than about $800 on the high end for all three parts. I have been to leupolds and burris's websites and couldnt find anything for this particular rifle. Is he stuck with getting custom bases? Or spending a hundred bucks? I suggested waiting to find a used Leupold MK4 for about $600 if he could. I think that even a used Nightforce would be out of his price range. I do not believe that he hunts anymore, but does quite abit of paper shooting. Any other suggestions for a setup in this orice range that would fit his budget? Thanks.
