I have a 280 Ackley that loves these bullets buthave not used them on game. Have heard they do not mushroom well, then others say they blow apart. Can I get some input from someone who has tried them or knows about them ?

I tried them in a 708. Their performace was below par. I went back to 120 Sierras and NBTs for use on deer. Without starting an argument, let me offer that even at low velocities, penetration was ok, but the bullet didn't seem to mushroom. It seemed to fall apart as it expanded. There was not near as much traumatic dmg as a 120 or 140 NBT would leave and more than a FMJ would leave, ie none. It killed the deer, but I would not use it again personally. It does kill the paper very well though.
