short range elk

after waiting 17 years i received an bull az elk tag. i scouted and hunted hard. i saw a big bull(370) before season; and a couple in the 330 to 350 range. opening morning a saw 17 bulls; including a couple in the 320 range. i had a bear hunt planned for the day after my season ended. i shot a 310 bull the last morning down in the PJ country. 26 yards with my 700 titanium; and fed high energy 180, 30-06. went right over. sorry no pics i was hunting by myself the last morning and had a lot to do to get it off the mountian and get ready for bear (the next morning a at 3am) . ron
