I have a switch barrel rifle in .338 Lapua and 30-378 Weatherby. The 30 cal barrel is about shot out and I would like to replace with a more barrel friendly 30 caliber cartridge having the same head size. Since I am not aware of any would you please make a suggestion.
THANKS

If i may ask, what action/rifle is your switchbarrel built on in the .338 lapua and 30-378? Do you know what threadsize your barrels currently have? Have you had any issuues with either caliber? Sorry for all the quistions.

Don't know how "user friendly" this is to you, but I have a .30-.416 Rigby Improved.
It shoots the 240 SMK exceptionally well at respectable velocities.
Brass life is good, and case forming is easy with the Neil Jones forming dies.
I'll be shooting it in the Mile match in Ohio in the next few weeks.
