Is this a decent action to build a budget .338 LM bench rifle with? I don't have the funds for a BAT etc., and came across a new CZ 550 .416 Rigby bolt face action for a tad over $400, new, in the white.

What are the long range / bench type stock options for this action?

What triggers are available to fit this action other than the factory set triggers from CZ ?

    Don,

If using it for a bench rifle and not a DGR, I'd opt to use a Remington 700 and open it up for the Lapua. Chris or George may even steer you in that direction too. It's a great action, just not the better of the two for a bench setup. Locktime, the claw extractor etc make it less desirable in that field.

Here's a pic of my M700 30/338 Lapua Imp that I finished up a year ago.

If you're wondering if it shoots though...

Here's a target at 500 yards with what worked out to be a good load. It's only three shots, and one target but... [IMG]
