SAKO/GA Precision TRG-42 300 NORMA MAG (Scope is NOT Included…. but the one piece Three Ring scope mount is included).

Up for Sale is my SAKO TRG-42 barreled and chambered by GA Precision in 300 NM.
Bartlein Rem Sendero 1:8 twist, 27 1/4" treaded to M18x1.0
Rifle weights just under 16.5 lbs. as pictured. (Legal to hunt in Idaho/NRL Hunter Rules)

What's included with the Sale:
SAKO TRG-42 300 NM Rifle
SAKO Three Ring Scope Mount 34mm (built in 0.5'/30 MOA) I get 26 mils with my setup.
SAKO Bi-Pod
SAKO TRG-42 muzzle brake
TBAC 338 BA Brake
Extra SAKO Magazine
SAKO Cheek Riser, 10mm Desert Tan
All original parts that came with the rifle and the box it came in.
Plus I will include the 72 pieces of 1x Norma brass I have on hand. These will come shipped in the original paper boxes they came in, and NOT in the plastic containers as pictured. That was for counting/seeing the current amount included.

Components available for purchase if I sell the rifle:
114 New Norma brass
100 New Peterson brass (New design/correct body dia.)
100 New ADG brass
200 New Lapua brass
Various Berger Bullets; 220 LRHT, 230 Hybrids and OTM's, 215 Hybrids.
Foster F/L sizing die w/the correct button
Foster Benchrest Seating die
Redding Type S Neck die

I only have 300 rounds down this barrel. It was my hunting gun, but I did test it at two NightForce ELR matches where I worked as an RO. This weapon has a 80+% hit capacity at a Mile with my handloads. 2975 f/s w/the 230 Berger Hybrid confirmed by Applied Ballistics Lap Radar which I have the PDM file for.

$4250.00 as shown WITHOUT SCOPE.

SAKO TRG 22/42 parts can be found anywhere, EuroOptics, MidWayUSA, etc. They are expensive! At this price the rifle as shown is $3K minus what these parts cost when I bought them vs now. These rifles are used in 27 Countries as their sniper weapon.

Mint condition, very little wear as seen on the Bolt! Works, functions, feeds, and runs flawlessly! The trigger is as good as anything in the market! Including TriggerTech…. Yes I have them, and have used every brand out there. Nothing works better for this application.

My old age, and a body wearing out hunting in strenuous situations hiking is forcing me to put this up for sale…. My blood pressure skyrockets and my knee is jacked! It would/could be used for ELR match shooting but IMO the barrel is too thin for extended fire. I was built to hunt with, not as a match rifle.

The cost of this rifle includes a lot of expensive accessories, making the actual cost of the rifle well under $3K..... Or what I spent on the barrel job converting it from 338 LM to 300 NM.

Either way, it's far below what's being offered for sale on the market for these guns currently.

Here's a breakdown for current prices at EuroOptics for these parts:

$327.12 SAKO Three Ring Scope Mount 34mm (built in 0.5'/30 MOA) I get 26 mils with my setup.
$494.91 SAKO Bi-Pod
$311.61 SAKO TRG-42 muzzle brake
$145.00 TBAC 338 BA Brake
$189.99 Extra SAKO Magazine
$69.99 SAKO Cheek Riser, 10mm Desert Tan (discontinued in tan).

Keep in mind that's $1,538.62 in accessories included in the price of the rifle kit.

I'd be happy to post the bug hole groups this rifle produces, and/or shots on steel at long range.... But what I can do is not what's being sold here. That said I'm well known in the shooting community as a No-Nonsense straight forward person, a competitive shooter, and an RO that doesn't care for BS whats-so-ever.

If you can find a better deal you should jump on it considering what's being offered here IMO.

BTT, Lets see if $4K gets some interest!?!

I was chatting with a well known shooting instructor Dale Poling of Tactical Training Group, LLC, and owner of EliteIron about my SAKO TRG-42 and how well they perform. Dale simply stated none better, and why he has 9 SAKO TRG-42 for training clients and how well the work.

Well I brought my SAC 260 to the Nightforce ELR Match instead of the SAKO TRG42 300 Norma….. and boy even though I was making some great super long shots. The 300 with 230 Berger's is King at this game!

Let's see if this gets some attention:

$3,750.00 plus all the accessories....... Does Not include the Scope. That brings the cost of just the rifle to $2,250.00! There's nothing in that price range this good for that cheap!

I'll even include a Savvy Sniper Heavy Duty SAW Sling w/HK hooks, single point or two point carry. These are meant to carry the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, at 22 lbs. this makes for a great rifle sling for the SAKO TRG-42.
