I am thinking about a Sako 85 Stainless Varmint in 243 (laminated stock).

Does anyone have any idea what kind of bedding is in these rifles. And if none or not much what have you done to remedy this? It is my understanding the barrel is free floated.

Rifle will initially be for eastern woodchucks out to 400 yards.

Many thanks.

I have a Sako 85 SS Varmint in 22-250 which I have not done anything to but mount a scope on it and killed approx. 350 GH's up to 380yrds with Hornady 55gr V-Max so get it and shoot it you won't be disappionted and the bbl. is free floated.

Many thanks, it does look like it will be a great rifle. Can you tell me what scope you put on it?
