Where on the cartridge do you measure run out? I have been checking about 1/8" from the tip.

I/3 to1/2 way down the bullet towards tip is the norm. You can check anywhere as long as your indicator doesn't contact the case as it goes around. Nearer the tip will increase the reading some, but where ever you like you can check. On the Ogive is the most consistant spot where I measure. Dave
