Rifles for kids small stature

I have a howa 1500 mini action in 6.5grendel that I use as a truck gun. If I remember right it was less than $550 and has the AR style buffer tube and collapsible stock. It's light enough that I can shoot it 1 handed and with a brake it kicks like a heavy .410 shotgun does. A chassis is the easy button for kids hunting rifles due to how modular and adjustable they are.

Howa or CZ mini action gets my vote. 6mm ARC, 6.5 Grendel, or 7.62x39. 7.62x39 is basically a 30-30, so 200 yards and under it should do just fine.

The T3 compact in 7-08 and I down loaded them with 140 partitions to around 2400-2500 ish… killed a pile of deer and elk. After my kids out grew it, it's my wife's favorite…. Over much more expensive options at her disposal.

So many out there now compared to when I was a kid. How much do yo want to invest, something with a chassis like the ruger precision or the sig cross are both highly adjustable so they can grow with the child or switch between two in seconds.
