looking for a light carry rifle (8 lbs complete)7mm rem mag desent recoil 5-600 yards. I can get a new one for $1000 this thing is going to get pounded around atv, horses, trucks this rifle is going to travel.Im thinking that a custom is just too nice for a carry rifle

If you are asking for advice on what rifle to get, I could only suggest a Stainless synthetic based on what you want (a durable reliable rifle).

I believe the AWR (Alaskan wilderness rifle) is what you are looking for. Light weight, stainless/Teflon coated and should be accurate enough for your 5-600 yards.
