Hello all,

I don't know if the news has reached home yet but we heard today on
the radio that two US Airmen were killed in Frankford, Germany today.
Several Airmen were on a bus or in a large van traveling and were
attacked. As I was sitting in a Relief Society board meeting tonight,
a sister there got a phone call from her husband who told her that
they are from our base Lakenheath. No names had been released but her
husband is in the Security Forces squadron and had just been told.
Very sad. Hopefully they didn't have any children, especially middle
school age. Otherwise it's going to be a sad day at work tomorrow. I
haven't been there for something like that yet. Hope never to be.
Thought you all might like to know.

Being here has really opened our eyes to how wonderful our service
men and women are. What their children go through each day knowing
that, if their parents are deployed, they are in harms way. Moving all
of the time and never having a "home town" to say they are from. Some
of these kids have never even lived in the United States but they are
Americans. They do have endless opportunities if they take advantage
of them.

Say a prayer for the families tonight.

Roy,

Saw this one yesterday, and I'm still waiting for our fearless leader to actually use the dreaded "Jihadi" or "Islamist" words. To hear most of the reports I've seen so far, they have no idea why he did this, and seem to thuink it was a completely random and senseless attack by a deranged individual. In other words, following their standard template for "man made disasters." I'm sure the fact that his own family say he's a devout Muslim, that he specifically targeted military personnel and was shouting "Allauha Ahkbar" as he did the shooting was probably just a coincidence. Just like Major Hasan in Ft. Hood.

I'll be in Franfurt next week and then on to Nuremburg fro the IWA show. Can bet I'll be keeping my eyes open and watchin' my back while I'm there, too.

I'm on to you; you just wanna ogle all the hot Eurobabes modeling the products.

Can't blame you. One of the highlights of the trip.:)
