Can someone post a screen shot of the powder properties for Reloder 17 from Quickload? The window with Ba, etc.
Something is very off. The default burn rate I'm showing is 0.47, which is much slower than H4350 and more in the H4831 range. My actual results seem to agree with the relative burn rate tables I have seen where RL-17 is right at or just slightly slower than H4350, and therefore don't think I just got a hot lot of powder, but rather my default values for RL-17 somehow got corrupted.
I've worked up a good 30-06 load using a 168 NBT, but darn near got in trouble with my initial ladder as my starting load (58 gr) was 3050 fps - which was 100 fps over what my calculated ending load should given at 62 kpsi. I ended up having to de-mill 21 rounds. Ba calculated around 0.52. For H4350 I'm generally 0.53 to 0.535. I'm using Starline brass with a H20 capacity of 70.2 gr, Kimber with 24" barrel, 3.33" COAL.
What are others seeing for actual Ba for RL-17?
