I was wondering what is the difference between mag primers. Like iv heard fed 215 are hotter than others? Whats the difference between Rem. 9.5, CCI 250 Mag, Fed. 215, etc..... People have got me worried because it was just pointed out that I was one of the few who use CCI. Whats the deal?

I'm of the impression that CCI is the most popular primer produced. While it's true that primers should not be considered interchangeable, whatever is giving you good results with your load is the correct one. Hotter is an opportunity to introduce greater variation in velocity and is not necessarily better. Best advice I can give is to ignore whatever it is that you're hearing. These days, most people are using whatever primer they can locate. There's absolutely nothing wrong with CCI.

CCI primers are fine to use. Go with what your groups like.
