Sure hope not or we can't use it for hunting here in Idaho. Batteries in a scope make the hunting sooooo incredibly easy that if we could use them all the deer would be killed in the first year. Heck I bet a digital reticle scope may not even need a gun to be mounted on. We could just look at the deer with it and they would die.
