Going on an elk hunt this fall and will be using my 308. It has a 22" rock barrel with a 11.25 twist. Berger site recomends a 13 twist. Have read where they can be hard to find the sweet spot. What do you all think?

I have never had trouble. I assume you are refering to the VLD's? If they make a Hybrid you like they are not so much effeced by seating depth.

you wil be fine with the twist you have.its just saying that a 1:13 is the slowest you can shoot them from.

and if you are talking about the VLD then you should try them in the lands or just off.then if you look at the sticky on this page ( reloading ) you can see that they too can be loaded at different lengths.just need to test them like all other bullets:D
